Did you know 1 in 10 gay/bi men don't know they have HIV...

This year marks GT’s 30th anniversary, and so much has changed for gay and bisexual men’s sex lives in that space of time. 30 years ago, Radio 1 felt the heat for merely playing controversial homo-anthem Relax by Frankie goes to Hollywood and hook-up apps were decades from even being invented. Most importantly, HIV/AIDS was one of the deadliest diseases on the planet, and is now, thanks to huge advances in medicine, classed as a chronic manageable condition. How times have changed.
For certain, we've become more open, adventurous and comfortable with sex. GT surveyed one thousand men anonymously to answer 40 questions about their sex lives, and we applaud everyone who took part.
The statistics show that, in the words of Lily Allen, ‘everyone’s at it’ in the 21st century. 1 in 5 told us they have casual sex on a regularly basis. To add to that, when asked “Have you ever had bareback casual or anonymous sex?”, 57.4% said they had. That’s a whole lot of sex with men who could be completely in the dark of their HIV status.
Plus, did you know that over 1 in 5 of us have slept with over 100+ men!
It certainly paints a vivid picture of our sexual relationships in 2014. Read the rest of the survey to find out what gay men really get up to in our new issue of GT, out today. www.gtdigi.co.uk
