Queer As Folk Tales at the JW3
Queers! Stories! Booze! Revelations!
More from GT Scene
In October a new arts and community centre opened on Finchley Road, just opposite the Camden Arts Centre. The JW3 celebrates the best Jewish and Jew-ish culture and welcomes everyone. Before having a building, the JW3 ran events across London, including partnering with Gay’s The Word on a sell-out true storytelling night ‘Queer As Folk Tales’.
Now Queer As Folk Tales is back on December 12th, featuring six brilliant people telling true stories LIVE, without notes.
It’s a relaxed, grab a drink and have a listen kind of night. Stories are honest, hilarious, shocking and moving. In the past there's been tales of slapping from Shaun Levin, the evolution of names from Jane Czyzselska and forays into teenage straight sex from Brian Lobel.
December’s installment features stories from ‘My Transsexual Summer’ star Max Zachs, New Statesman columnist Eleanor Margolis, cabaret and performance artist Lazlo Pearlman, film-maker Lisa Gornick and many more to be announced.
