David Hoyle at the Royal Court

David Hoyle gets his leg over...

Legendary alternative cabaret star David Hoyle returns to the stage on Friday 14 June with his new show David Hoyle Tries to Get His Leg Over. The self-proclaimed “anti-drag queen” has made a huge impact across the UK cabaret scene with his witty brand of social commentary, near-the-knucke humour and controversial views on society and mainstream gay living.

Growing up in Blackpool, it would be an understatement to say Hoyle was misunderstood, as he struggled with bullies and an unaccepting family, years on and David took his pain and created a dramatically real and deliciously biting persona to express his pain to baited audiences times after time.

Hoyle will be performing at the Royal Court Cafe Bar's Open Court Writers Festival tomorrow night in London as part of a “big Idea” evening, featuring events and plays talking about sex. The performance begins at 9.30pm with free entry to the whole evening.
