Three top tunes to top off your Friday
More from GT Music
To celebrate the beginning of the weekend we won’t be playing Katy Perry’s TGIF in the office. Instead we‘ll be listening to some new songs that got seriously stuck in our heads. Have a listen, and have a good weekend:
National Anthem - Lana del Rey
After teasing us during a few days with a trailer and still shots popping up on the internet, Lana Del Rey finally released her new music video, National Anthem. It is the latest single to be released from her album Born to Die and the songstress treats her fans (and tortures the rest of us) with a seven minutes video. We love that she dared impersonating not one but two sixties icons: Marylin Monroe and Jackie O.
It's out 8 July, the song already features on her album Born To Die: Born To Die
I’m Just Me – Diamond Rings
We're also love I’m Just Me. It’s John O’Regan’s, aka Diamond Rings, brand new song after his first album Special Affections in 2011. The video released this week is, in pure 80s electro style, packed with green lazer lights, smoke and muscular blokes shaking it in tight black tops. What’s not to love? The Canadian singer is even wearing a costume Jedward would be proud of. The song is very catchy and the message so right… It makes us want to jump and shout ”I’m just me”. Enjoy:
You can buy Diamond Rings’ music over here.
Men Who Lie – Jane Badler
Last but not least, we announced it as our new anthem earlier this week, Men Who Lie by Jane Badler. If you haven’t listened to it already, do it now, seriously.
