Garbage make video comeback with Blood for Poppies

Because comebacks are SO hot right now

Alternative rock band Garbage are back with a brand new single, Blood for Poppies. The video has been released ahead of the launch of their highly anticipated fifth album, Not Your Kind of People, in May. It will be their first album release in 7 years and you can read our review in the next issue of GT. It's a five star job (the rating, not the band - did you see her on The Voice? Anyway...)

Garbage of I’m Only Happy When it Rains-fame, have been working on the album since October 2010, leaving fans to expect great things. The black and white video premiered yesterday which we heard was filmed in LA by fashion photographer Matt Irwin, so we just had to take a look:

A lovely spectacular spectacular and fitting homage to the on trend fascination with silent moves (The Artist, Hugo, etc). Shirley suits the whole glamourous, grainy black and white thing. Musically they've retained the electronic edge that they have always had, and certainly remain more at the catchy pop edge of the rock genre.

If you liked that you can preorder the standard or deluxe editions of Not my Kind of People, or order tickets for Garbage’s UK gigs here.
