ENDHIV fundraiser at Shadow Lounge.
Charity begins at home but it’s much more fun to find it in Soho.

At a loose end this Friday night? Even if you’ve got plans maybe you should reconsider, because Soho’s Shadow Lounge are hosting a night of live music to raise money for Abzyme Research Foundation (www.endhiv.com)
Headlined by pop crooner Danny Hilton (who just so happens to be recording for his first album, don’t you know), not only does the night promise some of the freshest talent in new music but you can get merry knowing that you’re doing your bit for charity. Like a fun fair hook-a-duck, everyone’s a winner.
Alongside Danny boy, you’ll also witness the audible pleasures of vocalist MiLES ROBSON, rock/synth/pop-tastic (yes that’s an official genre) duo Green Phoenix and one of London’s smoothest jazz singers, Amy Heasman. What’s more, DJ Luke Gavin will be throwing some tunes between sets and might even take requests if you ask him nicely.
The charity itself is dedicated to eradicating HIV & AIDS within our lifetime, and the money raised on Friday will go towards a therapeutic HIV vaccine trial at the University of Texas Houston Medical Center. So if you fancy a break from Wham! and Bananarama, or whatever you kids are listening to these days, just swing by Shadow Lounge, indulge in some live music and feel pretty darn good about yourself while doing it.
Entry is free with a suggested donation of £5. Doors open 19.00, with performances from 20:00. Normal Shadow Lounge service follows.
