GT400 party

@ Heaven London

So, it's arguably the most popular gay club in the UK, not to mention home to the rite of passage that is G-A-Y Saturdays. So, of course, it was always going to be a no-brainer that GT would hook up with a similarly epic institution like Heaven London to host one hell of a blow out to celebrate 400 issues.

While it may have been a cold and dreary Monday night outside, that didn't stop the capital's glitterati descending on the legendary venue to sip Barefoot Wine and delicious Russian Standard Vodka cocktails.

Working the venue's Departure Lounge were guests including the eternally youthful Sinitta (sadly sans-palm leaves), plus adorable TOWIE star Harry Debridge (always a pleasure) and his leggy BFF Amy Childs; complete with film crew for her upcoming fly-on-the-wall series, naturally. Elsewhere our supporters danced along to exclusive performances from Four Poofs and Piano and The Gleeks, the UK's number one Glee tribute band. A highlight of the evening was easily the gigantic GT birthday cake made specially for us by Ben Frazer, with added macaroons from fellow Great British Bake Off star Edd Kimber. The fun and games later peaked with one killer goodie bag.

And while everyone got very merry indeed, it was also an evening for reflection; GT's roller-coaster history now spans four decades and 400 issues - an incredible milestone by any standard. To this end, there were moving speeches from GT Editor Darren Scott plus the magazine's founder Chris Graham-Bell, Chief Executive of GT's parent company Millivres Prowler Group.

Team GT would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all our guests for coming along, as well as Heaven, Barefoot Wine, Russian Standard Vodka, Edd Kimber, Ben Frazer, Four Poofs and a Piano, The Gleeks and SKY. Most importantly we'd like to thank you, our loyal readers, whose unwavering support has made GT what it is today - one of the longest running gay men's magazines in the world.

GT400, featuring collectable covers (Lady Gaga, Joe McElderry, Sir Ian McKellen and Matthew Mitcham) is out now.
