The Extra Factor
The words ‘Boys Play’ and ‘Extra Virgin’ made our little GT ears prick up.
More from GT Stage
Need a reason to visit the theatre this month? Well we have two. The Above the Stag Theatre in London will be hit by a double bill of two sexually charged homoerotic plays with, by the looks of things, some scantily clad men.
Boys Play by Jack Heifner and Extra Virgin by Howard Walters are two no holds barred gay dramas charged with suspense, passion and sexual uncertainty.
Boys Play, directed by Tim McArthur (Maurice and My Beautiful Laundrette), follows two teenagers as they camp in the woods on a night that will change their lives forever. The play gives an insight into the tumultuous relationship between two boys and the impact school, family and sex has on their lives.
Two Pints hottie, Freddie Hogan, stars in Extra Virgin, directed by Peter Bull, about two men who hook up after chatting on the internet (sound familiar?) This leads to a night of lust and passion but the pair soon realise that their random meet may not be so random.
The two short dramas open on 13 September and will run until 16 October. The production contains male nudity and subject matter of a sexual nature. We’re sold!
You can buy tickets from the official website.
