Bears in Battersea

New photography exhibition Intimation will feature a variety of weird and wonderful portraits including some big, hairy men.

This is photographer Carl Bavin-Flaste’s fist solo exhibition and his work will be open to the public on September 6 for two days at the Acquire Arts Gallery in Battersea, London.

The media production student’s colourful work includes painted friends and models and even features a bear wearing a union jack dress a la Ginger Spice circa 1997. Yep, this kinda thing if you just redistributed the hair more evenly over the body:

Host of the exhibition, Alex Kappas, said: “The artist is a local man who's love of the bear community, and willing models, have allowed his hobby to become a strong portfolio which I am helping him promote." After London, Carl will be moving his work to Iceland and hopes to bring it back to the UK in the New Year.

The exhibition will be open from noon – 7pm on Tuesday 6 September (tomorrow!) and noon – 8pm the following day. There will also be a private viewing on the first evening.
