New Olly single + new Will single ÷ same release date = a bit of a conundrum

And Joe's new album's out the same week as Will's too!

Chart wars. They aren't what they used to be.

This week two GT favourites are embroiled in one - namely the eternally hot Olly Murs and in some ways his role model and OPEN/LY GAY MAN Will Young (is it just us or do they sound kind of similar? Olly on Please Don't Let Me Go sounds like an early days Will especially).

And it sucks. In the old days a gay could actually pick a side and stay there without any wavering. You opted for Kylie over Victoria in 2001. Sophie over Victoria in 2000. And Run DMC over the Spice Girls in 1998. For Vicky B, it's like that and that's the way it is.

Fast forward a decade and we're faced with a situation where, according to the midweeks, both Olly and Will are headed for the top five with their respective singles Heart Skips A Beat (feat. Rizzle Kicks) and Jealousy (featuring Will's big arms, as per) (listen to both below) and we don't know who to root for.

For their next single we suggest they duet and in the video kiss and each wear tight trousers and then swop trousers and then take their trousers off completely. Then they should get together permanently and their supercouple portmanteau could be Willy.

Oh and to make matters even more distressing, Will and Joe McElderry are also locking horns this week, on the album chart that is. GOD.
