Hoff the Hook
David Hasselhoff's doing panto this year and it's really rather good.
Oh no it isn't, oh yes it is. But seriously, it is. In fact, we might go so far as to say that it's COMPLETELY AMAZING.

Louie Spence is in it too (it's Peter Pan and it's currently running at the New Wimbledon Theatre since you asked) and we have to admit that despite what we may have thought - and written - about Louie before, he genuinely is a bloody good performer. His splits alone stole the show. (Although David Hasselhoff dressed head to toe in full pirate regalia singing along to the Baywatch theme must have been a tough act to follow.)
And in true panto tradition, there was innuendo aplenty. While the young scout troupe behind us marvelled at the excellent storytelling, we guffawed into our glasses of wine at the mention of every rogered cabin-boy and glittering fairy.
There really is something for everyone and we defy you to leave without a smile on your face. Take your kids, take your boyfriend, take your mates, take your mum. This is a first-class show.
Until 16 January 2011, New Wimbledon Thetare, London, SW19 1QG
