Hold. Everything. *Screams* RU’S BACK!
Drag Diary #13
*Deep breath* Oh yes. Her royal dragness Queen Ru of Paul returned to our screens last night with, wait for it, a BRAND NEW SHOW!
Well, we say “our screens” but what we really mean is “American screens” as so far it’s only been shown in the US. Sad times. But we’re sure E4 will get their grubby little mitts on it sooner or later so don’t you worry. Although saying that, we’ve not even officially had series two of Drag Race over here yet have we? That’s a lot of catching up to do.
Annnnnyway, for those of you (all of you) who sneakily downloaded said Drag Race from the clever old internet earlier this year, prepare to get Googling once more as Logo TV bring us their latest spin-off series, RuPaul’s Drag U! The U, we are reliably informed, stands for University. It’s an academy of drag, if you will. Sign us up right now.
So, what could possibly improve this already genius idea any further? Why, a selection of past Drag Race contestants making guest appearances as the professors of course! *More deep breaths*
As far as we understand it at this stage, (we read it on Wikipedia so it’s almost probably at least half true) the basic premise of each episode is a competition following three distinctly un-glamorous women as they learn to release their inner divas. Sounds just about ridiculous enough to work.
There’s no full episode available yet, so watch this space, but in the meantime may we introduce you to Professor Raven, Professor Jujubee and Professor Pandora Boxx. (They’re the only ones we reeeeeally care about.)

Apologies for the over-excitement and everything, but this is literally what this blog was made for. Hooray! We have genuinely newsworthy content!
