Student Pride is upon us!
The students among you better not have wasted all your pennies on snakebite and £1 a shot nights because this weekend sees National Student Pride take place in Brighton.
The theme of this years event is “Love Music Hate Homophobia”, so forget the hate for the weekend and get loving (anything/one that you fancy). The event has a new patron in Dan Gillespis Sells of The Feeling, a pretty impressive figure considering Student Pride has only been going five years.

Events during the day include comedians, drag queens and a whole host of frolics to distract you. However, if in between your snakebite & black and laughter, you fancy considering some of the more serious issues effecting gay people in our society, there will be a political question time, chaired by our very own editor, Tris Reid-Smith. This includes representatives from the three main parties and Peter Tatchell (and you were only expecting sparks to fly after the sun went down).
In the evening there’s the pub crawl, taking in an array of pubs and bars that only Brighton could offer, before things move on to Coaltion where the aforementioned acts will keep you going until 4am. There is even an official after party for those of you who are still capable,
Last year they managed to cram in over 1,000 excitable uni students, gagging to get away from their studies and spend a weekend having fun with other people just like them. Organisers are hoping to go even further this year.
