Gay Hall of Fame: Wizard of Oz
It's a timeless film that gets gayer after every viewing. Therefore, it seemed only natural that the Wizard of Oz was to become the first EVER inductee into the GT Gay Hall of Fame, which it did, in our new look November issue (out now. Go check it out - Alphabeat are in it looking snoggable, among many, many other things). Let’s all celebrate by whisking up a hurricane in the kitchen – it’s the recipe for the Wicked Witch Waffle.

2 cups of flour
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 teaspoons of baking powder
4 large eggs
½ cup of honey
1 cup of plain yogurt
1 1/3 cup of milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ gallon of vanilla frozen yogurt
Fresh strawberries, hulled, sliced and tossed
1 tablespoon of sugar
Mix the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey and yogurt, before slowly whisking the milk into the egg mixture. Then add vanilla extract.
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients. Pour milk mixture slowly into the centre while whisking continuously. Beat until smooth. Whisk in butter.
Cook waffles in waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Serve waffles warm with a scoop of frozen yogurt and a spoonful of sliced strawberries.
