Camp as Christmas

Gays everywhere rejoice.

Well, gays of a certain age.

The legendary Victoria Wood is back, back, back! with a new Christmas special on BBC One.

The 60-minute special – which is provisionally titled Victoria Wood’s Mid-Life Christmas – sees her once again working with Julie Walters. It’s her first sketch show in nearly 10 years. We’re not worthy.

Highlights will include the mid-life Olympics and Lark Pies To Cranchesterford as it “crams a whole evening of telly into one hour” (with a bonus behind-the-scenes programme).

Yes we’re going a bit mature lady-tastic at Gay Towers today. Watch this space, they say things come in threes.

In the meantime, check out the clip below from the 2000 special With All The Trimmings.

“I told you at the Bring and Buy – I don’t do saucers.” Amaze.
