The competition is open to anyone affected by HIV and will be judged by noted photographer, Mike Kear. To enter the competition, entrants must submit a photograph that captures moments during their HIV journey that made them feel positive about the future. The winning photo will win £5,000 for a UK HIV charity or community group of the winner’s choice.
Commenting on the competition, Mike Kear said, “I’d like to see entrants send in photographs of places that have significant meaning to them, people who have motivated or had a positive impact on their life, events that make them feel good about themselves or even pets that bring a feeling of contentment, love or playfulness to their lives. This competition is a perfect opportunity for people affected by HIV to express their experiences whilst having the added opportunity to support their local HIV charity or community group.”
To enter, send your photograph along with an accompanying caption, your name, address, telephone number and email address email@example.com. Entrants should be over 18 and also state whether they are a professional or amateur photographer when entering and which HIV charity or group they would like to support should they win. Entries can also be posted to the following address along with a stamped addressed envelope, if entrants would like their photos to be returned:
