Outrate Short Online film festival

Win world fame, a DVD library and a year with Jeff at STR8cam.com when you enter your short film.

The Outrate Online Short Film Festival 2008 is now underway. You can enter your short film - for FREE - until July 29.

Thanks to the festival's sponsors GT, TLA Releasing and STR8cam.com, there's around a thousand dollars worth of prizes to be won and the festival's judging panel includes Academy Award nominee Christian Taylor (Showboy), author Paul Burston, NewFest (NYC Gay and Lesbian Film Festival) director Basil Tsiokos and director of Sydney's QueerScreen, Lex Lindsay.

If your film is selected as a finalist, the judges will provide you with personal feedback on your work. and every entry selected as a finalist wins a prize. All entries will be screened on Outrate.net from July 11.

An admin fee kicks in from July 30, so be sure to get your entry in ASAP. We prefer shorts already uploaded to YouTube, Daily Motion or MySpace, or .mov files under 10MB. We're taking shorts of any genre or style, and even soft core erotica is welcome (send us the hard stuff and we'll consider that too). Original shorts are preferred but anything made no earlier than 2007 is acceptable.

Good luck and happy short film making!
