Courtney Love has reportedly scrapped her comeback album to work with a little known musician.
Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is said to have ditched a host of material recorded with Linda Perry to collaborate with Micko Larkin, former guitarist with London indie band Larrikin Love.
Perry has previously written songs for Christina Aguilera, Pink and Avril Lavigne, but if this bit of showbiz goss is true, it might be no bad thing. Even though Perry has written some great tracks in the past (Beautiful by Christina Aguilera being one of them), the ditched LP would have been the first since 2004’s disspointing America's Sweetheart – which Perry also worked on.
So who are these so called Larrikin Love? The band split last year after making one album, The Freedom Spark, which was released in 2006.
A bad omen, perhaps...?
