GT 2008 Calendar

GT magazine prides itself on leading the way by creating exciting and cutting-edge gay imagery.


This year, we asked Los Angeles-based photographer Justin Monroe to join forces with us for the GT 2008 Calendar for precisely those reasons.
Justin brought himself to our attention a year ago, using a half-dressed soldier and a wolf, and we’ve been hooked on his contributions ever since.

With production values that mirror the Hollywood location in which he creates them, his skewed, fantasy-rich narratives are vivid and sexy – sometimes too edgy to print, but always full-speed and exciting. He shows us the LA we all dream about and are a little scared of. The colour and the gloss are there, but he gives us a glimpse of the excitement happening in the shadows. Flashy, addictive and just a little bit wrong.
