Our Top Five Artists at Lovebox Festival

Move over Phil Collins…M.I.A is Hounslow’s finest musical export now

At GT towers we thought it would be nice to give you Lovebox goers a helping hand with who to go and see over the two day event.

M.N.E.K
From the age of 14 and 15, MNEK was being tipped as the next big thing in the music industry from the likes of The Guardian and NME. With recent writing credits and features on songs with the likes of Rudimental and Duke Dumont, MNEK has definitely lived up to expectations. This year he featured and wrote the massive Top 5 hit, Ready for your Love by Gorgon City and also saw the release of his latest single Every Little Word. He is a must see at this year’s festival.

Craig Charles
Red Dwarf, Robot Wars and not forgetting Coronation Street, Craig Charles has done it all. Apart from Lovebox. Until this year that is. Broadcasting for 10 years on BBC6 music with a Saturday night Funk and Soul Show, Craig has global support as a renowned DJ and promoter of new music and of course, the classics. Expect some serious dancefloor fillin’ tunes.

Crystal Fighters
Back again following a great set at Lovebox last year, Sebastien, Gilbert and Graham return with their latest album Cave Rave. With some not-so-everyday instruments including the txalapartas and txistus, alongside guitars and techno synth, Crystal Fighters are a band not to be missed.

Woodkid
Acclaimed French video director Yoann Lemoine AKA Woodkid, is regarded as one of the most creative and exciting artists working in contemporary music. Having played at the top of the Eiffel Tower and a sell-out gig at the Roundhouse, Lovebox is his next location to showcase - in his own words - ‘symphonic pop’. The multiple Grammy nominated artist’s show promises to be an audio-visual spectacular.

M.I.A
Hailed as the UK’s most experimental and sometimes controversial music acts – who could forget her giving the middle finger during Madonna’s Superbowl set! - M.I.A comes to Lovebox with her newly released fourth album Matangi. Including tracks, Bad Girls and Bring the Noize. A setlist including some of the biggest and best tracks from M.I.A and a show that is sure to bedazzle its viewers. Another artist not to be missed!

Lovebox Festival starts on July 18th until July 19th at Victoria Park, London. For more information go to the Lovebox Website
