New Music Monday, feat Klaxons, Sub Focus and Ella Henderson

Here are our top five songs of the week to kickstart your Monday...

Ella Henderson – Ghost

This week’s chart topper came in the form of the 2012 X Factor finalist, Ella Henderson. If you hadn’t already heard, we love her, and her debut single Ghost has become the fourth fastest selling single of the year so far. Congratulations Ella!

Mausi – My Friend Has a Swimming Pool

It’s been so sporadically sunny the past week that we thought we’d take our chances on this summery number. The name says it all; get your sun cream and speedos at the ready... Tom Daley, we’re looking at you.

Sub Focus – Close

We must sound like a broken record, because every week there’s another 90s’ style song making us prick up our ears. But that’s obviously what’s ‘in’ right now, and who are we to complain about the return to the sounds of an era that created such memorable club classics?

Klaxons – Show Me a Miracle

The perfect example of a song that you really don’t want to like, but can’t help yourself. We’re aware that the chorus is about as basic as it gets, and that the video is practically the sequel to Eiffel 65’s Blue (Da Ba Dee), but there’s something oddly enchanting about it…

Reid Stefan – Dirty Fingers (ft Richard Vission & Luciana)

Finally, here’s one for when you’re absolutely blind drunk. Do we even need to give more of a reason than that? Watch out for Reid Stefan, he’s actually a pretty great producer; this collaboration with Luciana sure captured our attention.
