Pedal for Pride

Get on your bike and be part of the San Fran festivities at Pride 2015.

In June 2015, LGBT cyclists from across the nation will take on Pedal For Pride – a fantastic new fundraising adventure cycling across California ending at the world famous San Francisco Pride Festival.

This is the first overseas cycling challenge specifically aimed at the LGBT community and it’s set to be great one. Starting in the breath-taking Yosemite National Park, we make our way cycling 400km over 5 days across the ‘Orange County‘ with time to stop and visit golden sandy beaches and laid back towns.

Pedal for Pride has teamed up the UK’s most well-known LGBT charities – the Albert Kennedy Trust and Stonewall. Riders can either support these amazing causes or support a charity of their own choice.

With every day that passes, and every turn of the wheel we will be getting closer to one of the world’s biggest and best Pride Festivals - San Francisco…and with 2015 being the 45th Pride, it’s set to go off with a bang!

Charity Challenge organisers Global Adventure Challenges have designed this event after listening to various requests from the LGBT community.

Peter Robinson, Director of Events and co-founder of Global Adventure Challenges says: “Pedal for Pride is the first cycling event of its kind and there will be an incredible atmosphere throughout the whole of the challenge as each kilometre we ride will take us nearer to San Fran’s biggest party of the year. The days’ cycling will be long, but well worth it to feel that incredible sense of achievement as we ride as a team over the Golden Gate Bridge and then spend the whole weekend enjoying the San Francisco 45th Pride celebrations as a reward for our hard work.”

The event is inclusive of flights, accommodation, meals and full cycling support including bike hire.
Places are limited on this unique event. To sign up, registration costs £399 plus £1,800 for the self-funding option, or riders can raise a minimum sponsorship of £3,600 of which tour costs will be covered.
