New Music Monday feat Basement Jaxx, Dirty Vegas and Alvvays

Ok, we know it's Tuesday, but there's been a bank holiday, so....

Gorgon City – Here For You ft. Laura Welsh

With another club-ready track, Gorgon City delivers their follow-up to Ready For Your Love, and it’s a summer smasher. Deep bass, airy piano chords, and a killer vocal from Laura Welsh – Here For You totally nailed it.

BANKS – Drowning

Combining hip-hop beats with slick synths and her haunting voice, BANKS has mesmerised us with her latest single. Drowning is taken from her upcoming debut album Goddess, which will be released in September.

Basement Jaxx – Unicorn

The legendary duo will be releasing their new album Junto in August, and we couldn’t be more excited. It would appear that everyone is heading back to the sounds of 90s’ house music, and no one has more right to do so than Basement Jaxx.

Dirty Vegas – Setting Sun

With a genre we can only describe as alternative dance-pop, Dirty Vegas present this emotionally uplifting song. Sounding a little like Empire Of The Sun, while being altogether different at the same time, we’re sure you’ll love it just as much as we do.

Alvvays – Archie, Marry Me

We’ve got a fantastic indie track to round things off today. What’s odd to note, is that although Alvvays hail from Canada, they have a sound that’s reminiscent of the Brit-pop band Sleeper. Remember them? No? Never mind…
