Nicki Minaj – Pills N Potions
The Queen of the Barbz is back, and she’s pulling at our heartstrings.

Taking it back to the earlier, stripped back sounds of her debut album Pink Friday, Nicki Minaj delivers a surprisingly chilled out track.
With only the simplest of drumbeats, and fairly basic piano chords bringing an acoustic feel, she begins gently singing as the song builds on its first chorus. Sure, it’s pretty minimal, but it serves well to really deliver the lyrical content of the song in its entirety, something that, when she tries, Nicki can be pretty good at.
As with any of her songs, it’s the rap that stands out most. Like previous tracks such as Right Thru Me, and Moment 4 Life – Pills N Potions showcases the rapper’s talent in all its glory.
Nicki Minaj may have a penchant for creating generic rap songs (just look at Stupid Hoe), or at times, meaningless pop, but she’s hit the nail on the head with her latest offering.
