Calling all Prince fans... he's baaaaaack

The pint-sized lord of funk will play four UK arena dates in May...

In true Prince fashion, he has left us shocked and excited with an announcement of his UK tour dates, confirmed earlier today.

Tickets go on sale Friday, 2 May, with the Purple One set to perform in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds.

Prince will perform his jaw-dropping set alongside his all-girl band 3rdEyeGirl, and we reckon it's going to sell out in seconds. But if you're lucky enough to get yourself a ticket, your in for a treat. He pulled out all the stops in his last hit and run tour of the UK earlier this year.

The news had had us belting out the classics here in GT Towers. It was only a couple of issues ago we named Purple Rain one of the 30 albums every gay man should own, with its sex-soaked laments of unrequited love.

And, of course, Prince has also re-ignited rumours that he might be headed to Glastonbury. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but either way, lets just hope he brings the sunshine with him this summer and doesn’t leave us all standing in the not-so-purple rain.

Which reminds us...

Prince will play Birmingham LG Arena on 15 May, Manchester Arena on 16 May, Glasgow The SSE Hydro on 22 May and Leeds First Direct Arena on 23 May. Tickets will be available from gigsandtours.com and ticketmaster.co.uk, or by calling 0844 811 0051.
