The products to perk up your visage this month...
More from GTea Break
Worried you're looking more like a haggard old husk rather than a gorgeous juicy peach? We know beauty is on the inside/in the eye of the beholder and all that. But if you look as good as you possibly can, chances are you'll get a lil' confidence boost and feel amazing too.
We had the opportunity to sample some different facial skin-care products (a hard task we know, but someone had to do it) and now we can pass our recommendations on to you.
BeautyLab Micropolish Dermabrasion £45
This dermabrasion polish is amazing! The price tag may be a little high for some, but the product inside is more than worth it. Great for sloughing away those dead skin cells and clearing out those pores in problem areas, such as forehead, chin and around the nose. It’s also a fantastic alternative to a salon microdermabrasion, if it can be done DIY, it’s always a bonus. The key ingredients are what make the product so effective – the glycolic acid, primarily found in sugar canes and unripe grapes, sinks into your skin and gets the cellular activity going as it should be. The quartz and gold dust will exfoliate your skin, leaving you refreshed and feeling revived visually. Used twice a week, within a few weeks you’ll notice and feel the difference. Our skin was positively glowing afterwards - one of the best we've used.
Functionalab Body Toning Beauty Dose – 90 capsules £33
It's not all about what you do to the outside, it's what you feed your body with too. You literally are what you eat, and the more nutrients in your food, the more that's left over to reach the last place in your body that benefits from them - your skin. Packed with nine ingredients, Functionalab Body Toning Beauty Dose is a blessing in a very pretty disguise. To achieve firmer skin, it aims for the body fat and the skin tissue, as well as the blood circulation. It all works together to patch up any nutrient deficiencies and have your skin looking fabulous! This product even contains two of nature’s most powerful antioxidants – grape seed polyphenols and oligomeric proanthocyanidins. It promises to protect your skin and revive it from the inside out.
A’kin’s Revitalising Cellular Radiance Serum - £26
To increase the general suppleness and elasticity of the skin, try A’kin’s Revitalising Cellular Radiance Serum. We can’t all have a surgeon as good as a Hollywood diva who pretends not to have one. Enriched with a combination of pure, nourishing ingredients like organic Rosehip and Echium oils, Pomegranate, and Seabuckthorn, this natural face serum helps fight the signs of aging and leaves your skin looking more radiant. In a laboratory study on 32 individuals, 90.6% saw visible improvement in moisture levels and experienced smoother and firmer skin. So put the Botox away, and enjoy having a full range of facial expressions.
BeautyPro’s Collagen Infused Facial Masks - £29
If you fancy bringing spa-style treatments home, then try BeautyPro’s Collagen Infused Facial Masks. We tried the Collagen + Brightening Vitamin-C formula, a sheet mask that combats wrinkles, dull skin, and sun-damage. Our tester was looking a little run-down following one too many late nights, and the results were noticeable and instant. For an immediate brightening of any dull, lackluster skin, this really works. It feels refreshing, smells good and is a perfect lil' beauty boost for (another) big night out.
The collagen masks are available exclusively online from Living Beauty.
