Exciting news! Britain’s favourite girl group The Saturdays – yes, really – have announced a greatest hits album to be released on 11 August. And that’s not all they’ve let slip. The album will be accompanied by a tour around the UK as well as Wales and Ireland – we knew it wouldn’t be long until they were back on the road.
Five years on since releasing If This Is Love back in 2008 and The Saturdays have completely taken over the soundtracks of most gay clubs. From energetic dance anthem All Fired Up, to the ultimate summer song What About Us with Sean Paul, and the catchy female-powered Higher featuring Flo Rida.
The girls are currently keeping themselves busy promoting their new single Not Giving Up, which is released on Monday, and is taken from their recent album Living for the Weekend. (It’s like the sequel to All Fired Up – a serious club banger!)
The greatest hits album has arrived at the height of their young careers… but the girls don't want any of their fans to fear this is a farewell. The Saturdays have confirmed they will be returning to the studio later this year to get cracking on with their fifth studio album – phew!
Group member Frankie Sandford says, “We can’t wait to get out on the road and showcase our journey so far! This is not the end, just a milestone along the way.”
Fan pre-sale for the tour starts tomorrow at 10am, and general sale to the public will be on 9 April. You can find all the info over on their official website.
