Minnesota's sodomy law was invalidated in a state court class action lawsuit in October 2001. Minesota is one of the 13 US states which has anti-discrimination laws protecting lesbian and gays. The legislation covers public and private employment, public and private housing, education and credit. In 1993 this law was extended to include protection for he transgendered.
