Ismena presents: Glitter and Be Gay - a guide to life

Barons Court Theatre, 24-28 August

"A most enjoyable evening - 5 stars" -

"One of the biggest sell-out successes seen at Barons Court Theatre in years" -

A glamorous and glittering evening of American musical theatre, jazz and cabaret songs, with a sprinkling of good advice thrown in!

Singer/Agony Aunt/self-styled "Life Facilitator" Doctor Sara (Sara Cluderay) offers life guidance, through a rogues' gallery of characters: tragic femmes fatales, fallen heroines and gutsy gals, with cellist Mayda Narvey and Katharine Woolley at the piano, and special guests. Advice is also available for any audience members with a problem* - Doctor Sara will be happy to help you work through your issues, but does she have any problems of her own?... With special guests Justin Brett, Donovan Chapman-Smith and Aaron Newland-Bentley, playing the role of Taylor the Latte Boy.

Featuring music by Kurt Weill, Rodgers & Hammerstein, contemporary composers Maury Yeston, Zina Goldrich, Andrew Lippa and Jason Robert Brown, and of course, the flamboyant and virtuosic title song from Leonard Bernstein's Candide. A must-see for divas of both sexes!

The show was recently performed at London's Battersea Barge, as a double bill with Stud & Babe: A Love Less Ordinary, featuring actor and singer Brodie Bass.

Come and see us at Barons Court Theatre, London. We're appearing 24-28 August 2010 - you know you want to join us!...
