Dutch influence in Aruba means that island is tolerant of homosexuality. Arubans are proud of their diversity and do not judge tourists or their gay and lesbian neighbors. However, with such a small population there is no real gay scene. The official tourist website says the gay population is simply not large enough to support one though they say Aruba is "gay friendly" and welcomes all lifestyles. If you are planning a Carribean holiday Aruba is a much better option than other more homophobic destinations like Jamaica.

Aruba is situated just north of the equator and and therefore has a tropical climate. Temperatures are constant with median year round of 28c moderated by trade winds making it a year round destination.
Rainfall is low for the tropics and averages about 450mm a year. The rainy season is from October to January which is probably the time to avoid.
