The U.S. Virgin Islands has a tiny gay scene focused around gay and lesbian visitors. The main part of the scene (if thats the right word to use) is centred on the gay beach at Solomon Bay. In addition, the islands have almost always had some gay nightlife as well but things constantly change. Visitor should ask around the gay beaches or one of the gay-friendly hotels (See the Expedia website below) to find out whats current.

In the past community and business leaders have discussed legalising same-sex marriage as a way of boosting tourism in St. Croix, but the U.S. Virgin Islands government is unlikely to approve such a measure if it were proposed.

The US Virgin Islands have a subtropical climate which are tempered by easterly trade winds. The best time to visit is from December to April.
There is relatively low humidity and little seasonal temperature variation. The average temperature in December is 25c and in June it is 28c. The rainy season is from May to November.
